I see everyday many of you sign into the site then maybe post once then go. What i need to know is what would make you want to post here. Anything that would make you come back post everyday not just the odd once a week. Any feedback will be great!

You are asking for my opinion and I will give it to you straight. Hope you are OK with that.

You must understand that it takes a LOOOOOOOT of work getting a forum up and running.

Most of your curent members are from other forums. Some are even active members of several forums where they spend time every day ansvering posts from friends etc. (and its probably one of those friends that got them here in the first place.)

Here is what you will get from me and most other members:

I will check in whenever I check my other forums to se if anyone has answared any of the posts I am active in. Then I will check when the next freeroll or tourney is going to be on and finally if there is anything else of interest.

If you can keep things interesting here with tourneys, Pictures, Good articles, team bashes etc I will continue to take active part in your forum and help it grow. If nothing new has happened the last 10 times I have checked in I will probably stop checking.

The more members the more and better Free rolls you will get and people will notice the forum name in the free roll lists and come to join so they can play and u get more members and better Free Rolls etc

But it takes a lot of work to get there. ( or quite a bit of cool cash ) I have been a member of at least 5 new forums in the last year. All of them has stoped again because of inactivity.

Will yours 2?

If you want to survive you must be inovative. Things must be interesting for people to stick around. After a while people will make friends here and things will be easier but until then you must MAKE people get to know each other.

Here is a few things OTHER forums has had some succes with:

Live Chat where there is ALWAYS someone to talk to. People will check in if they have something to brag about or just want to tell a joke or herrass someone... But again if you check in 10 times and find the chatroom empty you stop checking in.

Live commentary radio games. Apparantly people enjoy playing a game with live radio commentary. Its a very popular Buy in.

Team Bashes. Probably the best way of getting people to be active with least work from mods. Also the fastest way of making new friends and making people feel they belong here.

yes its going to be hard to get things running around here smoothly and to get games going that will get and keep members interested.. i was thinking we could have a crazy payout tournament.. maybe we could make it a buyin.. with the payouts all random so say maybe first out will gain his/her buyin back or something.. maybe the person who bubbles can get a bonus prize..

as for team battles im sure that somewhere here there is a team battle that you and alan and a few others are going to play in, but it would be great to set some up against other forums too e.g wassonline, suited pockets and a few others

all members ideas are greatly appreciated and we will take these into account and see what we can offer

WELL WHEN I GOOGLE POKER FORUM, IT COMES BACK WITH HALF MILLION HITS. THATS A LOT OF FORUMS COMPETEING FOR THE SAME PLAYERS. MANY PLAYERS ARE MEMBERS OF MULTIPLE FORUMS. SOME REQUIRE A POST COUNT FOR FREE-ROLL PASSWORDS SOME DON'T. I PERSONALLY LIKE THE POST REQUIREMENTS, BECAUSE IT REDUCES SIT-OUTS.
TO BE TRUTHFULL I WOULD NOT EVEN BE HERE EXCEPT , I WAS DRAWN HERE BY THE FACT YOU ARE PEOPLE I ALREADY KNOW.
ALL THE FORUMS ATTRACT MEMBERS WITH FREE-ROLLS, OF COURSE YOU NEED TO KEEP THOSE GOING, AT MULTIPLE SITES, THE MORE SITES THE BETTER. I AM NOT A FAN OF CRAZY PAY-OUTS, IN FACT I THINK THEY SUCK.
I HAVE SEEN SOME FORUM GAMES THAT OFFER SEATS TO THE POKER SITES MAIN-EVENTS, I THINK THAT IS A GREAT IDEA. A WEEKLY OR MONTHLY MEN AGAINST WOMEN GAME IS ANOTHER IDEA. END OF THE MONTH TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS, ALL THE MONTHS TOURNEY WINNERS GET AN INVITE.
I'M SURE I CAN THINK UP MORE IDEAS AND WILL POST THEM.

Unfortunatley, I have not been able to post much anywhere lately. I just started a new job, WHICH IS GREAT NEWS FOR ME!!!!!! With that, I've been so super busy, I haven't been online much at all. I'm having poker withdrawals, it's like a drug I tell ya. The weekends I usually have some time but then I'm catching up on everything else from the week. I will do my best to post more. Miss seeing you all at the tables. Oh, and I have had major problems with Pokerari, I tried to play in a game there you had but couldn't get it to work. Anyway, talk to you all soon. my poker playin online time has been greatly cut.......i'm down to playing in parts of only 2 days ......not enough time in the day it seems.....lol

Sorry I've been out for a bit...but it is hard to balance family and my spare computer time. My husband gripes enough cause i play poker most of spare time.
